Privacy Policy

At Lemi, we believe that taking care of yourself starts with feeling safe. This Privacy Policy describes how Nekki FZ LLC ("Lemi," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Lemi mobile application and related services (the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Who We Are

Lemi is operated by Nekki FZ LLC (UAE Free Zone).

2. Information We Collect

We collect the minimum information necessary to provide the Services.

Information you provide:

  • Account. By default you use Lemi anonymously — no personal data required. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a user identifier and, if you choose to share it, your email address.
  • Waitlist. If you submit your email on lemi.life, we store it to notify you of App availability.
  • Mood check-in. Daily mood selections (5 levels) are associated with your account and treated as health and wellness data.

Information collected automatically:

  • Usage data (App). How you interact with the App (features used, session data). Analytics events sent to PostHog do not include personally identifiable information (PII).
  • Usage data (Website). When you visit lemi.life, PostHog collects your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and session data. If you submit your email via our waitlist form, PostHog may associate subsequent activity with that email address. This constitutes processing of PII and is governed by our Cookie Policy (see Section 13).
  • Device and error data. Device type, OS version, app version, and crash logs for stability and bug fixes.
  • Advertising identifier (IDFA). On iOS, we request IDFA permission via Apple's ATT framework, preceded by a pre-permission screen. If you decline, all App features remain available.
  • Subscription data. Purchase and subscription status via RevenueCat.

What we do not collect: name, phone number, address, photos, or any AI-processed inputs. There is no chatbot or LLM in the App.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to: provide and improve the Services; sync your progress across devices; personalize your experience; process your subscription; send service-related communications; analyze usage; detect fraud; and comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your data for targeted advertising inside the App. We do not sell your personal information.

All providers are contractually bound to process data only as instructed. We may also share data to comply with law, protect rights and safety, or in connection with a corporate transaction.

5. Data Deletion and Retention

We retain your data while your account is active or as needed to provide the Services.

To delete your account and data, you have two options:

  1. In-app deletion (recommended). Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This immediately initiates a full deletion of your profile, mood data, journal entries, and all associated personal data from our systems.
  2. By email. Send a request to privacy@lemi.life from the email address associated with your account (if applicable).

We will complete deletion within 30 days of a valid request. You will receive a confirmation once deletion is complete. Certain data may be retained beyond this period only where required by law (e.g., financial transaction records required for tax purposes), after which it will be permanently deleted.

6. Your Choices

  • Anonymous use — no account required to use the App.
  • ATT / IDFA — revoke permission anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
  • Push notifications — disable in device settings.
  • Data deletion — via App settings or email privacy@lemi.life.
  • Waitlist removal — email privacy@lemi.life.

7. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that data and terminate the account promptly.

The App is rated 4+ on the App Store, which reflects content suitability — not an absence of an age requirement. If you believe a child under 13 is using the Services, please contact us at privacy@lemi.life.

8. International Data Transfers

Nekki FZ LLC is based in the UAE. Data may be processed in the US and EU (PostHog EU region, Supabase). For transfers from the EEA or UK, we implement Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) where required.

9. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including TLS encryption for data in transit and AES-256 encryption for data at rest within our Supabase infrastructure. Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel only. No transmission or storage method is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your Rights Under GDPR (EEA & UK)

If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to: access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your personal data; object to processing based on legitimate interests; and withdraw consent at any time. Contact privacy@lemi.life to exercise these rights; we will respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Legal bases: performance of contract (to provide the Services); legitimate interests (analytics, security); consent (IDFA, marketing).

11. Your Rights Under US State Privacy Laws

For users in California (CCPA/CPRA), Virginia, Colorado, and other states with applicable laws, you have the right to: know what data we collect and why; request deletion or correction; opt out of sale or sharing (we do not sell data); and be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. Submit requests to privacy@lemi.life.

12. Mood and Health Data

Mood check-in data is categorized as Health & Fitness (linked to identity) in Apple's App Privacy labels and is used solely to personalize your in-app experience. We do not share mood data with third parties for advertising or research.

Lemi is not a medical or mental health service. App content is for general wellness only and does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

13. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Mobile App: The App does not use cookies.

Website (lemi.life): Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies, primarily through PostHog, to understand how visitors interact with the site. Cookies used on lemi.life include:

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated through the App or by email before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
